Some
of the early French wedding traditions have continued to be used today,
transplanted to other parts of the world and have influenced many modern
day wedding ceremonies. Some of the different parts of a
traditional French wedding are costume, bridal trousseau and wedding armoire, wedding procession,
ceremony, reception, garter (La jarretiere), chiverie
(Le Charivari), type of flowers, wedding
cake, etc. Throughout the next couple pages
of this website, I will inform you all about the
wedding customs and traditions of the French.
